You do not need to log in repeatedly to check your status.

• Status updates are sent automatically to your registered email address
• You can also log in to the eVisa portal at any time to check progress

Extending Your Stay in Egypt

If your plans change and you need more time, two options exist:

Option 1: Apply for a New eVisa (Recommended)

Exit Egypt before your current visa expires, apply for a new eVisa online, and re-enter once approved.

This is the standard route for most travellers.

Option 2: In-Country Extension (Limited)

Visit the immigration office in Cairo and submit your passport, current visa, a photograph, and proof of stay.

Extensions are not guaranteed. If approved, an additional period of up to 3 months may be granted.

Note: In-country extensions fall outside the standard eVisa process. Approval is not guaranteed and processing takes longer than applying online.

Do Not Overstay Your Visa

Staying beyond your authorised period carries consequences:
